Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), the leading gubernatorial aspirant for the Ondo State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and renowned Nigerian businessman and entrepreneur yesterday met with leaders of a Chinese business consortium in his bid to advertise possibilities and opportunities for new businesses in Ondo State.
The meeting with Messers Jason Zhu and Roland Guan, influential Chinese investors, centred on Akimgboye’s vision to transform Ondo State into a thriving polity through the proposed Ondo State Mega City project.
Akingboye said his plan is to revolutionize the state’s urban landscape, creating a world-class hub for business, technology, and innovation and so will need the Chinese, who are investing heavily across the globe to partner with the PDP government that he will lead after the next election.
” I envision an Ondo State with Urban Centres developed into Mega Cities and will do everything when elected to invite serious investors into the state on mutually beneficial terms to them and our dear State,” Akingboye said.
With an astute eye for opportunity and an unwavering belief in Ondo’s potential, OBA presented a meticulously crafted blueprint that promises to attract investment and talent from across the globe. The Ondo Mega City project, a brainchild of his entrepreneurial ambition, aims to propel the state into the realms of modernity and economic growth.
Zhu and Guan, representing a consortium of Chinese investors with interest in large-scale urban development, identified with OBA’s plan and expressed interest in forging a beneficial partnership.
With the potential for substantial foreign investment and transformative development, the Ondo Mega City project as envisioned could become a game-changer for the state’s economic landscape.
