In a resounding show of support, the Sunshine Progressive Group, a prominent faction within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, has officially endorsed Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA) as their candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial election.
During a crucial meeting held at Akingboye’s residence in Akure, the group cited his unwavering consistency, proven competence, readiness for the task at hand, and over two decades of loyal service to the PDP as the driving forces behind their endorsement.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Taiwo Ologbosere, the group’s chairman from Ose Local Government Area (LGA), extolled Akingboye’s exceptional credentials, emphasizing his remarkable success as an entrepreneur and businessman spanning over four decades.
“Akingboye is the most qualified candidate to lead the PDP’s charge in the upcoming gubernatorial election,” Ologbosere declared, echoing the sentiments of other influential stakeholders present at the meeting.
The group’s convener, Hon. Rotimi Adeleye from Okitipupa LGA, the secretary, Mr. Omosehin Biyi from Ese Odo LGA, the women leader, Mrs. Monisola Peter from Akure South LGA, were among the prominent party figures numbering about 32 across the 18 LGAs who vocally endorsed Akingboye’s candidacy.
Rtd. Captain Lasisi Ibrahim from Akoko North West LGA, emphasized the group’s commitment, stating, “We are going to work tirelessly for you.
“Describing Akingboye as “consistently consistent,” the group vowed to leave no stone unturned in their efforts to propel him to victory, believing that his leadership will usher in a new era of progress and development for Ondo State.
With the Sunshine Progressive Group’s endorsement, Akingboye’s gubernatorial campaign has received a significant boost, solidifying his position as a formidable contender for the state’s top executive office.
