In a move that has galvanized Ondo’s youth population, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), a leading aspirant for the Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (PDP) gubernatorial ticket, has met with the party’s youth leaders from all 18 local government areas of the state. The gathering served as a platform to articulate OBA’s aspirations and underscore the pivotal role of young people in shaping the state’s future.
The meeting was held at Akure on Tuesday, April 9th April, 2024. OBA in his address said the “The growth and development of our youth is the very foundation upon which my administration will be built, because their boundless energy and innovative spirit hold the key to unlocking Ondo’s true potential.
“As OBA outlined his vision for a youth-centric governance model, the air was electric with excitement and optimism. The youth leaders, representing the diverse voices of Ondo’s vibrant young population, expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s prospects for victory in the forthcoming November elections.
“OBA’s commitment to empowering our generation is a beacon of hope. His leadership will pave the way for a future where our dreams and aspirations take flight.” remarked by Victor Oguntoyinbo, one of the state youth leaders from Akoko North West LGA.
The meeting also witnessed the presence of senatorial youth leaders, whose support and endorsement further solidified OBA’s standing as a unifying force within the party ranks. Amidst resounding applause, the youth leaders extended their heartfelt gratitude to OBA for his steadfast support of the PDP and offered fervent prayers for his emergence as the party’s gubernatorial candidate.
