Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), the esteemed PDP gubernatorial aspirant, was greeted with a resounding reception as his campaign team visited Akoko South West Local Government Area. PDP stakeholders and leaders in the region hailed Akingboye as a worthy ambassador of the party, deserving of the mandate from the good people of Ondo State.
The meeting, held at Oka Akoko, witnessed a massive turnout of prominent party stalwarts, including Colonel Roland Omowa, Prince Z.A. Adeniyi, former PDP state treasurer, Hon. Mike Adara, former secretary of the PDP Elders’ Council in Ondo State, Hon. Fatai Ajayi, Hon. Chief Olatunji Odomo, former local government chairman, Chief Dele Olowogorioye, Hon. Arije, and other esteemed party members.
Colonel Roland Omowa warmly welcomed Akingboye and his entourage, which included the SLA to the former Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Hon. Osulowo Tibetan. Omowa expressed gratitude to the party stakeholders for prioritizing the meeting and assured Akingboye that the PDP in Akoko South West is united, formidable, and trustworthy.
In his address, Akingboye urged for unwavering support to become the PDP’s flagbearer and subsequently the governor of Ondo State, assuring that he would remain loyal to the party and the good people of the state, citing his consistency within the PDP since its formation.
“I have come seeking your full support, for without this platform, this journey may not be possible,” Akingboye declared. “I know you very well, and I know you are united in this local government. I believe you will not disappoint me.”
Akingboye shared his vision for good governance, promising to transform the state away from the paths trodden by past governors. He expressed optimism that with his leadership, a new dawn would arise in Ondo State, free from suffering and imbued with unity within the party.
Hon. Fatai Ajayi, acknowledging the suffering currently plaguing the state, expressed his fervent prayer for Akingboye’s victory, paving the way for a rejuvenated Ondo State once again.
